Evoke Electric Motorcycles is an exciting startup redefining what are motorcycles. Started on the basis of completely rethinking the motorcycle experience, our goal is to use cutting edge improvements in automotive and electric drive train technology to completely radically improve the riding experience. We strive to merge the motorcycle and rider to make riding simpler, more enjoyable and safer.

The developer will be in charge of creating the smart control system for Evoke Electric Motorcycles Urban S system. The developer will be in charge of creating the implementation plan for the smart system. They will also create a plan for how the work will be balanced between implementing in house and outsourcing to other developers.

The developer will be responsible for coding the smart system as well as researching software integration to the rest of the control system and components. The developer will create a development plan and software design for the software of the smart system. The developer will also be responsible for testing the software for reliability and durability over the long term.

The developer will be responsible for the following areas:

• Creating development plans for the software of the smart system
• Choosing suppliers for components that are needed for the smart system.
• Create documentation and charts for the software
• Creating the software for the smart system
• Working with third party software developers for outsourcing difficult to make hardware components
• Creating development plans and monitoring the outsource companies production schedule
• Managing the projects given to outsourcing companies and testing for quality or system issues.
• Testing and integration of the software with the rest of the motorcycle components

Skills needed

Curious and enjoys learning new things

Embedded programming experience

Experience with Arduino platform

Knowledgeable in C or C++

Detail orientated and able to describe projects clearly with people who don’t have an engineering background.

Good at working with a team and strong personal management skill.
